HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH CYBER SYNAGOGUE?

What you will need for basic participation:

          a)  A computer and internet.

          b)  Speakers connected to the co0mputer. this will permit you to see and hear the class and you may interact by typing in the message bar   at the bottom of the screen .

What you will need for full participation: Full participation means live two way video and audio with you and the instructor and the other class members.

          c) A web cam and a microphone. Most modern lap tops have these built in. If not they can be easily purchased at Wal-Mart or Best Buy, or online for about eighty dollars.

Choose from the online calendar which classes  you wish to take:

          d) E-mail Shammash Ariel Messianic Synagogue to confirm class availability (Shammashariel@hotmail.com)

          e)  In your e-mail please include your Name, City, State, you may also give your phone number. You may also asked any questions about the class or the instructor in your e-mail.

Getting set for your class.

          f) Now go online and type in your search skype.com 

          g)  Open a free account with skype.com. make sure it is the free account.

          h)  E-mail Shammash Ariel (Shammashariel@hotmail.com) and ask for a return  phone call to get you signed in and make a test run with your computer. Now you are ready for class. Don't forget to wait for a call 15 minutes before class begins.

Tips for best results:

          1)  If only one member of the house hold is taking the class consider using a headset combination microphone and earphone as this will reduce the echo in the sound.

          2)  If you do not like headsets or if several people are using a computer consider using a free standing microphone and external speakers. this will allow you to have more audio volume while reducing the echo factor.

          3)  If you do not want to use a headset or a external microphone try muting your microphone while the program is on. You will still be able to ask questions by typing in the IM box at the bottom of the screen.
